Hello, I’m Stathi Savvidis and I am a journalism graduate based in Connecticut. I joined Fansided’s Chowda and Champions channel, where I cover the Boston Sports teams.

During my time at Roger Williams, I worked on various stories for my classes, some of the notable ones include an Urban Flooding in Rhode Island News Package for the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program, and an article published by the RI Latino News Network that addresses the housing crisis in Rhode Island. In my last semester, I wrote two articles for the Hawks Herald covering the sports teams here and professional sports teams.

In my overall field of work, I was able to conduct interviews and in-depth research, post-production editing, and refine my overall skills as a journalist. While I am capable and open to being a reporter and reporting on stories that are affecting the community, I have a strong desire for sports writing, and I’m currently looking for a sports beat writer role where I can cover a professional sports team.
